sharing moments and telling stories through photography

meet melissa: my journey

I first picked up a camera at just nine years old, and fell in love with capturing moments in time. When my mom bought a fancy camera for a big trip, I found myself intrigued on how it all worked and about how to take good photos. What started out with an old point-and-shoot camera, now has grown to a life-long passion that I plan to pursue in college and as a career. Since I've started photography, my goal has always been to capture the simple, daily life - little moments others might miss, connections between people, and taking photos that tell a deep, personal story.

"It was very fun, and I got good quality photos back. It was a great experience, and she did well on guiding me on how to pose."

"I enjoyed the shoot, and she made me feel very comfortable and at ease. It was a nice atmosphere, and I liked how she posed me, as I'm not great at posing myself. I also liked how she had a vision for the shoot and stuck with it, and the photos came out great."
